    Question Choice

    I am new to lipo and this will be my first good charger and I've narrowed it down to 2 choices. Traxxas EZ peak plus and Duratrax Onyx 235...Both seem to do pretty much the same things but I'm not sure how important Storage Mode is and I guess the Onyx doesn't have it...Please help.

    My vote is for the EZ-Peak Plus. It's a great little charger for the money and storage mode IS important. I've been doing some reading on this and LiPos really do prefer being stored at 3.85 volts. Your batteries will live a longer, healthier life.

    Hopefully Jimmie Neutron chimes in. He's the man to ask about storage mode and the benefits...

    Between the two... ezPeak Plus.
    Storage is one of the minimums any charger should have in my book.

    I 2nd the Traxxas EZ Peak Plus. I really like mine, no issues so far!

    I can't really explain why, but since I started using storage mode the cells in my packs maintain much closer voltages and therefore balance charge much faster.
