Dun dun dun.. Maybe they just painted the cover.. I doubt they could do more to the top esc out lol.. Unless there releasing there own version of the xo1 esc and motor lol.. I'm guessing if they do release another rx8 it'll cost you at a minimum $500 lol.. Might have a mini screen on it that tells the future lol

Well that's about my luck. Just ordered the pro4 4000 three days ago. Didn't even know about the hd until yesterday. Just went look at it on tekins site. 550 size can. Looks awesome. Does this madness ever stop?

I'm contemplating getting a new Pro4 HD 4300 or the Pro4 4600. Both have their advantages. The 540 more efficient, while the 550 running cooler temps. The Pro4 is also lighter(faster truck), which what I want. Kinda hard decision for me. Looking to upgrade my SC411 for something Tekin.

I haven't had any heat issues with my sc411 4000kv geared at 16/52..I've used 18/52 at larger tracks with no issue as well..What kv motor are you using?

I am running the Scte with the 4600kv. I think I need to change my rx8 settings. It was fine for a small indoor track, but once I went to a huge outdoor track it was slow. So I ran 14/40 and it still seemed slow and the motor got really hot.

Yah I haven't had any heat issues either, I just want more torque. The brakes on mine even on full strength are weak compared to my brother's MIP SCTE with a Pro4/RX8 combo. Both are fast, the Pro4 just has alot more top end. The sc411 also seems to lack the punch needed to clear short run-up jumps. Tekin also says running a Tekin motor with the RX8 works best.

I want to see them test this thing!

Did some more research, Tekin had a white RX8 at the RCX show in April of 2012. I apologize for misleading any members (Its just a white case)

That sounds interesting. I wonder what they are changing about it? I own 3 of them and they all have been flawless. If I have one fail I hope they would offer a upgrade price to the new version.

As for the white case, a lot of rumors but no clarification, as of yet

Which one of these motors for a Slash with the stock LCG chassis. Pro4 4000, 4600 or pro4 hd 4300. On a medium sized track. Thanks

The 4300, if you can wait a couple of weeks. Reason being more torque and less heat. I wouldn't be concerned about the difference in kv between the 4300 & 4600, as the 4300 likes to be geared up a couple of teeth on the pinion.

I was thinking the 4000 because the slash is a lighter truck and doesn't need the append as much as a heavier truck might need. On the other hsnd the 4600 will be fast but can always be dialed down. It running not all out would be similair to the 4000 all out but should be giving lower temps at the same time. But idk really looking for input! LMK

I race with a 550 can 4000kv geared at 17/52 and it is a beast. You can gear up a lower kv motor and not worry about temp issues. You might wanna track the club racing rules at your local track about motor specs. We run an MOD pro4 class that allows 550 can motors.

The 4600 would be my choice, reason being, if your running with only 540 motors, chances are most of the completion will be running that motor. With that being said, the Tekin drivers say they use the 4000 over the 4600 most of the time. All depends on the track. One note the 4600 on a high bite short technical track can get hot in a 10 min main.

i will be buying a 4000kv and the other small block motor from tekin. but i think the 4300kv would be a choice between the 4600-and 4000kv motor,
