I know you don't wanna hear this, but its probably gonna seize every bearing in the truck. That's not to say you should go in after it though. Your well being is much, much more important than that truck.

Just make sure you dry it out real well and go through it be for you run it. The battery is probably toast. Motor bearings and sleeves probably toast too by the time you get it out.

They will seize...wd40 the crap out of them to displace the water. I would not trust that lipo!

when my son runs his Summit in flotation mode, I pull the four corner bearings and put them in a Ziploc bag that I partially flood with a WD40 like product. The summit bearings have never failed me. I just lay the bag flat on its side with the bearings all flat on their side and let it soak overnight. That way any moisture is subjected to the product and the bearings are not going to be run dry or with rust.

If water got under the shrink wrap it will start to corrode.

I'd say the lipo would be fine as long as it isn't the slightest bit puffy.

I'd go through everything and lube things, mainly tear into your transmission, motor and wheel bearings.

Well, you should. It isn't that hard to do and it will prevent bad bearings and such.

You'll need to open the transmission case and all the bearings and gears, open the diff too and let it all dry out for a few days.

Remove all the wheel bearings and let them dry out.

Remove the motor end cap and the clear piece of tape and see if any water runs out. Actually, you should probably remove the long motor screws and open the motor to dry out for a couple days.

Open the receiver box and let it dry out too. These trucks are supposed to be waterproof, but I'd say they're more water resistant, especially when submerged for a few days. If you have an aftermarket steering system I'd also remove those bearings.

I'd like to know if water got in the receiver box. And post some PICS!!! (we like to see carnage)

Whats funny is it all still works just bearings a few seized up and i guess lll open up the tranny and do what yall said when i get home would it hurt if i sprayed the gear box out with airhouse then put some 3 in 1 on and ill take the motor the motor screws out and see if water got in it if it did ill take it apart and look it over ill soak them in wd-40 for a while

I go thru my transmissions every week during racing season, just to replace the diff axle out put bearings, and clean and inspect everything.
It would be a wise thing to do imo.
As mentioned above,if you don't,it will just be worse in the long run.
And would,as stated above, open the motor, for the time spent, you could save a lot of headaches and $

I know this isnt going to make you feel better but my big bro drove a brand new rustler vxl into the ocean at night on its first drive and a fatty wave took it away. I will never let him live that down. I stripped to my underwear and was in that water so fast but was not so lucky....
