    Antenna question

Can I cut my antenna to be short in my slash so it doesn't have to stick out the body

Depends if it's an AM radio (yes but reception will suffer), or the newer 2.4ghz radio (no). Either way I would just run the length of wire along the chassis then out the top. Cutting to length is bad.

NEVER cut your antenna,2.4 put it in the body or something ,but don't cut it,I don't know why,but some are longer then others in the 2.4's,but I do know cutting is a no no.

Years ago when AM receiver antennas were 20 feet long (that may be a little exaggerated, but not much ) we would run the antenna through the straw, then wrap the remaining wire around the outside of the antenna tube. That way you don't have to alter the wire, but can still keep in sorta contained.

2.4ghz antenna can be as short as 2 or 3" long with the antenna tube but, never to cut the wire itself. my 2.4 wire was damage before to a point that i only get 10 ft away then looses its signal. one night seating inside my garage looking at the broken wire......got this idea.....what if i cut some of the black skin about the same length of the actual wire tip.....work wonders for me, got the signal back.
