    need new tires....

Im looking to get new tires for my rig. Ive read alot of threads regarding pro-lines awesome tires and wheels but for a less expensive alternative are the traxxas canyons a good option? Im gonna be driving mostly off road and a little on road. Just wanted to get some input on if i should just save up the $100 for some mashers or trenchers.

That's the shape my trenchers are in after 15 months. I think ur best bet would be to save your money and get something that will last. My stock talons lasted less than 2 weeks.

The Canyons will balloon Like Crazy.. They are a soft crawling tire......
Don't know if taping will help that much.....
Would you go flip my truck back over??

canyons are a bad option, they can't hold up to the power of the ERBE. You will tear them fairly quickly.

The canyons are a good off road crawling tire. They ballon up at any speed. They don't seem to last long. Have about 10 or so runs on the summit and when I got the gf hers I seen how much they have wore down with just snow and mud crawling and running

A main hobbies website has the mashers for 32.99 a pair and if you order over 100 dollars it's usually free shipping

I run stock gearing with my 40 series trenches and 6s. Been running it like that since the day it came out of the box and have never had a problem.

Do you still need to tape trenchers?
Which rims are best to run them on?
Just after a decent all round tyre combo that wont let go under 6s

Yep still need to tape trenchers.

I like the look of pro line desperados. They make them with a traxxas bead.

The only thing with larger tyres as the extra strain on the drive train and increased temps..

I'm running a set of trenchers on desperados, pretty good tyre all round, however if going for a road session, use my road rages.

My local hobbytown had the Trencher-X for $38.95 a pair mounted on desperado wheels.
Cheaper than what I could find on eBay.
