Lights for the Sash 4x4

I have the Summit, and loved the lights on it.
Often driving in dim locations (parking garages etc)
It's not for lighting up the area, just to better see what's front or rear on my car.

Could this be connected to my Slash where the fan should be connected?

Yup those look like they should work perfect. I love the lights I have on my slash. It's worth it.

Hi. I have lights on all my r/c . I would power them from the receiver and not from the fan plug on the speed control.

Why not the fan plug?
Tested it and works fine.

It works fine but it depends where you want to mount the lights. You don't want to stretch the cord too much. Besides, shouldn't oyu have a fan plugged into the fan mount? It's the cheapest insurance for the electronics in your car! Haha

Well, maybe i will have a fan connected. But temps here are around 0-5C right now so dont think that's an issue

Took a few photos with my phone of the lights, not the best quality, but you can see some of it.







Now i can see my car easily in the dark. I whould like to have them pointed a bit more down, but that's not possible.





Yes i know the paint job on this lexan is horrible. I used wrong paint. Now i just waiting for the rest to get of so i can repaint it with proper lexan paint

It's not too complicated. Depending on the kit you use, it can come with a variety of power supply's. LED's don't use a lot of voltage, typically less than 5V, so some can use 3-AAA, or a 9V, most can plug directly into your receiver. Your issue will be tying them ALL in to a controller to power them. I used RC LIGHTS systems on a couple of mine, but I decided to use an external BEC to power them, in conjunction with cooling fans for the motor & ESC.

I overheated and blew my esc the other day when it was about 45f (7-8C), run that fan!!!!

Checked with IR gun. It was about 30c or something like that.

durability when you bash hard? Not so much... Must find another spots to mount them at least!
