Those rims are for the older "oversize" 40 series tire's, like the #1160-00 Trencher 3.8" (40 Series).

The #1184-00 Trencher X 3.8" (Traxxas Style Bead) will not fit that type of rim.

What is the part # of the Trenchers you have?
    Look out for the tree/crunch!

they are the regular trenchers 3.8 40 series part# 1160-00

the bead seems to not really sit well on the wheel, the wheel seems like it has a slope to it.

    They should fit.

Below is what the bead looks like that the Axial tires for that rim.

Ya your gonna need to regear with the taller tires, the good news is once it's re-geared it should run just as well as it did with the smaller tires.

As for which way to go with the gearing, someone else will have to answer that as I'm a Nitro guy & gearing a BL truck to compensate is outta my knowledge.

I may be wrong, so if I am somebody point it out!
But this is what I remember,
With a bigger tire, use a smaller pinion or larger spur.
With a smaller tire, use larger pinion or smaller spur.

You may have to trim the tire bead for it to fit right.

I managed to make them fit and I thought about trimming the bead but I was also thinking about what if I have to
    return them.

I was thinking about getting these wheels, is there a masher tire that will fit? The only one I see is traxxas bead.

Eh, I'll probably just buy the traxxas bead ones and use the axial 8 spoke wheels. Those wheels work with traxxas bead right?

that is not what I was asking. I was asking of the axial 8 spoke oversized wheels work with traxxas. They are NOT beadlock wheels.

    If they bolt on, sure.

If they will work tbe traxxas style bead, no they won't, they need the old 40 series type tire.
