    Temp gun options...

Tried different pinions today, but with no temp gun on hand... I typically based it on how hot the motor is by touching...

What is a good temp gun out there? I want one that is reasonably priced. It doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles. As long as it does the job well.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Ive used this one 4 yrs., has a belt-clip on it. Compared it to the high $ one we use at work, .2* difference.

    Nice! Reasonably priced too.

I like the part where you can take the temperature without touching the heat source. Just point, push the button, and read results. On other temp guns, you must make it touch the heat source to take an accurate measurement.

    Thanks!

I'll also see my other options on ebay, but the Duratrax seems like a good one.

It looks like the cen-tech one is a rebrand or duratrax is a re brand of eachother

I'm guessing Duratrax is the rebranded.

Yeah I got a $12 one, free shipping within 10 days from China on Ebay, works great, and has incredible range too! Yellow one.. you'll see it.

Thanks for all the input guys!

Will look at this Cen-Tech temp gun since it looks exactly like the Duratrax. A lot cheaper too!

Its what i use, ive had it for 3 years, i think it was in a door buster deal at the time and cost a whole 9 bucks. Its definately worth it to see that uber screaming hot motor u cant even touch with the tip of yer finger, ... is a whopping 145 degress, heh.

I would go for a gun, I have a craftsman IR gun w laser. I also have the centech, if I was to only own one it would be the gun. Easier to use higher temp range and with the laser you can see where its reading the temp from.

But I would get the centech over the dtx, nothing against dtx just price point!

With the revo their is plenty of room to get around the motor can and esc, its a bit harder on the rustler/pede. Then the smaller ones are better. I usually don't go far from my toolbox anyway so convenience is less of an issue than functionality. The important thing is to use one at all so don't shy away from getting any of them they work much better than your fingers.
