    2200kv or 3400kv motor with Wp-sc8?

I am about to upgrade to a wp-sc8 esc and I'm trying to decide on what motor to get. I can get either a 2200kv hobbywing motor or a 3400kv tenshock for roughly the same price. Would the 2200 be to powerfull for the pede? I am not looking to do speed runs I bash and jump in grass/dirt. I know to fit the 2200 motor i will have to do some chassis grinding and most likely relocate the esc.

What motor would you go with?

The 2200 will need 3S or 4S to get you back to stock speeds. It will have way more torque though.

For the 3400kV on 3s, what is a good ESC to run with it?

I don't know if that esc and a 2200kv motor will fit in the p4de without a lot of modification. I have a MMP and a losi SCTE 2800kv 550-size motor in mine, and it barely fits.

The 3400kv on 3s with the right gearing would be mental and super fast on 2s so weigh less and small packs than the 2200kv would need and we all know that weight kills speed and puts less stress on the truck....peace

I've got the 3400kv version and it flat out rocks! Best thing I've done to my pede for sure. Can't go wrong.

I found the sweet spot for my set up to be 14t on a 2s. Can't wait for my 3s lipos to show up in the mail. Thanks for your help dude.

I personally have not used any hobbywing products, but I see alot of "burned out" videos. I PERSONALLY dont trust their quality.

With that said, you are getting a much higher quality motor in Tenshock!

The arguement has already been made regarding the 3400 vs 2200...takes too much voltage to effectively operate the 2200 at comparable speeds

I got an SC8 as a replacement for a brand new MMP that didn't work out of the box. So far the SC8 is working extremely well.

Kershaw Designs has a nice setup I am looking into getting for my pede. It is their waterproof Gen3 4s 2550kv 4 pole 3674can with the 120a esc. Looks like a really nice setup at an affordable $142.99

Once I get it I will post my review. Doubt I will ever tare into a 4s in the pede but I do have a tmaxx I am converting into an emaxx I will use this system on with a 4s. Well atleast two 2s in series
