Well the shop is really small but packed, like barely can move packed, he even has his own rc collection sitting in the shop. I can probably bring up the half shaft and see if he has one that works. Also just noticed I'm missing the pin too.

So what are some good upgrades I can get? I already decided on some mashers and black chrome desperado's I would get F-11's but the only come in black. I also want to keep everything in one order from tower hobbies. Suggestions?

Any thoughts on STRC skids? Also the steel center driveshaft isn't a needed upgrade is it?

Strc is good but will get bent up but will strengthen the front end
Center shafts is a good idea. Wont have to worry about them

Think I'll give the STRC skids a try and steel center driveshaft, also ordering the MIP pin replacements.

So today I remembered I have an Old Tyco Rc Grave Digger from when I was a kid so I pulled it out and want to put it on my revo. So I was wonder since the stickers we're peeling how would I get the leftover sticker edging from the flames on the front off and how would I figure out where to put the body post holes. I also want to paint it so how would you paint a hard body? I'm looking to go for a murdered out look with it.

Pics (sorry for the blue tint)

To figure out the hole put a dab of paint on the tips of the body posts then place the body on it will transfer to the boy then just drill them.

Okay, thanks. I just cut off the back part of the body to make it look more realistic and I also think I might just use truck bedlinder for the murdered out look and then paint the windows normal black? I also want to repaint those headlights, they are a really orangish red mught just go black with those too. I'm also gonna remove the hood sticker.

Go to the local auto parts stir and get a 3M gray scuff pad then get the scuff pad wet and scuff the body evenly the let dry clean it and spray with whatever you end up wanting to use

I gotta get some sticker residue off thinking about getting a big pot of hot water and letting it sit in it for a bit and then peel off the excess stickers. Will alcohol do anything to the stickers but not the plastic.

Heres what it looks like with the hols drilled and the back cut off. I need to smoothen up the back still.

Well on another forum someone told me to use WD-40 to get the sticker residue off and it worked perfect and kinda shined up the plastic.

I can get one for about $150- $200 One of them is a platinum and I like the silver chassis. If it runs that would be awesome so i could still use it.

Uh oh I just found those vantage chassis, they look so sick.

Also what exactly do I need to convert it?

those are MIP's right? you need the rebuild kit, make sure to loctite (preferible red one) the grub screw, they like to get loose. Pay attention of the position of the gurb screw on the pin, there is a flat spot on the pin

Word of advise with MIP CVDs. Doublecheck those couplings and every single grub screw after or before every run. MIP CVDs are very high-quality and well-made, but the amount of stress on them is insane. Even with red thread locked the grub screws will still come loose. A friend of mine who has a Stampede 4x4 VXL has already lost 3 cross pins and one coupling... I've managed to avoid losing anything so far, but on my 2nd run with the new ERBE I've lost power to one wheel because the grub screw that connects the CVD to the diff got loose. So don't skimp on that red loctite.

Hm, those MIPs CVD sure look interesting, although i'd like to try summit shafts first. But the MIPs, do they come in pairs, of sets of 4? 150$ for 4 CVDs is kinda expensive, makes me wanna try the ball-x instead.

You can get MIPs for $50 on eBay. And they come in packs of 2, so it'll be $100 for a full set.

Ball-X look cool, but they are more expensive, spares for them are not as easily available as they are for MIPs, and they're not really 100% CVDs. Only one end of the Ball-X's is CV, the other is a dogbone. Whereas MIPs are pure CVDs

Yup don't like the dog bone part on the Ball-X. And the fact that there are 0 reviews. Yes, there is one, in a magazine, on the website of TVR.. But no real user reviews. $50 for a set is ok i guess, a bit more than a summit set. Loosing your pins everything makes me worry though..

Sounds like too much maintenance to me. IMO you shouldn't have to me messing around with a CVD, it should just work, The thing feel out without even doing a single jump....
