You mean the diff oil inside the diff cup or the grease on the ring gear and pinion?

-Hot Racing silver Rockers front and rear

    Thoughts?

Most of my changes will be for looks since its got pretty much all the upgrades.
My plans for my next upgrades
    -Red hubs
    -Red Shock bodies
-Hot racing Silver shock upgrade kit
    -Red Pushrods
    -Castle motor fan
-Red antenna tube and crimp nut
    -80 Wt shock oil
    -Integy Spring Kit

Hopefully I can order the first set early next week and maybe the second set around the end of next week or a week after.

Another thing I wanna get eventually is Some Pro-Line mashers on Axial 8-spoke Black Chrome wheels. Also a Dusty motors shroud and MM2 ESC.

    Suggestions are welcome.
Who makes the red hubs? IMHO you can't go wrong with HPP hubs, they are black so they will go with the red parts and they eliminate wheel wobble.

Whoops... I posted after only reading the first page... I didn't even know Traxxas made red hubs, how long have they been out for? I remember reading a while back about a guy who went to a lot of trouble to anodize his hubs red, poor guy.

So was there still diff lube inside the diff? Good luck cleaning up, took me a while hehe. Although some leftovers shouldn't matter.

Yes there was and all I did is take a paper towel and wiped it out. Was pretty quick. IS there screws that go into the diff case or does the bulk hold it together? I kinda forgot how it went back together.

And for the red hubs i'm not sure when they we're released.

4(M2.5?) screws go into the ring gear onto the diff , and 4 larger screws(M3?) go into the housing holding the diff.

okay I already had the ones in the ring gear, now I got it all together except which screws go into the bulkhead? Just the button head screws?

Button head goes into the bulkhead, socket head into the diff and the diff housing.

I always put back the screws into the hole where they belong after having completely disassembled a part. That way i don't have to remember where my screws go .

That was terrible. My thumbs hurt from turning allen wrench's. First got everything together, a=arms on wrong side. I fixed that ran it, diff in backwards fixed that now back together but I have two M2.5 screws and idk where I might have missed any ideas?

Also I have my truck upside down and was spinning the wheels and it seems very tight could that just be because of the 500k diff fluid? or is there something binding? The front wheels are fine as I didn't touch the front diff yet.

If you tighten too much the diff screws or the screws on the diff housing that can cause a binding in the gears, did you spin the diff before installing everything?

Did exactly the same today, and yep, my screws were too tight, and the gears were binding. I ended up with 1/2 turn back from fully tightened, and after installing everything feels and sounds perfect. Hm, M2.5 i know of goes into the diff, 4 of them. What kind of screws do you have? Socket or button?

I figured out where they we're from. I took off the center skid plate and they we're from the front of it. I'm not tearing it down again until tomorrow. I got some parts coming and hopefully my body. Selling my xbox in a few and will then hopefully be able to buy the HiTec Servo and STRC servo assembly.

Just make sure your pinion is for a 5mm shaft or you'll be disappoint when you get it and its not.

I got this haven't install it yet, but I like it a lot, I was breaking pinions on my slash until tried this, don't forget the heavy duty spring for the steering. It is recommended for high torque servos.

Doesn't the ST Racing Concepts Servo Saver Linkage Set come with a HD spring? Also was looking at those HR pinions.

I have a HR 19 pinion and a 20 and 21 RRP...they are both good. No, the STRC doesn't come with a spring...you'll need to get it.

403, also how exactly do you get the shock mounts off? Is there some screw I'm not seeing?

Nothing like pulling your truck apart and learning...there are some good build threads on here with info...I use 87 GN and Mitch316 as reference as theirs is well documented and informative.

    Keep up the good work.

I'll fully tear it down if I snap my chassis. :P Then dye a chassis black and probably a chassis brace....

I bash pretty big...in the 50ft+ range, I still haven't seen the need for a chassis brace. All I have is the HPP motor brace installed. If I ever snap a chassis I may look at this.

Related question: is Traxxas 32P Pinion Gear (21T) a direct replacement to the stock 18t pinion? Or do I specifically need a pinion with a 5mm hole?

It needs to be 5mm bore or it wont fit the motor shaft.

Okay got a problem. I'm trying to intall the front left Hot Racing rocker arm and I cannot for anything get the screw that holds the rocker onto the chassis off. Here is a picture and was wondering if this was normal and if there is any suggestions.

There's an 8mm hex at the top of the rocker post threads. Did a blue 8mm wrench come with your Revo?

nope all I got was the wheel hex tool and the grey multi tool thing that I have no idea what it does. EDIT: Found one that came with my slash. Got it off, should the post be out that far or should i tighten it?

Also heres a few pics but its lopsided because of the rocker.

the top screw and the rocker post are two separate parts, I guess it must be loctited into rocker that's why it is coming out with the post attached.
