So I went out today and I didn't have much room to open it up but I saw smoke coming from the slipper area and could smell burning plastic. What could be the problem? Slipper to tight?

Too loose! A loose slipper is a lot of slipping = friction, causes to heat the clutch and melt spur gear = burning plastic![]()
Okay thanks will tighten it.

You may want to remove the gear cover to inspect the spur gear for wobble.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.
Just went out again with it tightened, didn't tighten the motor enough so re tightened it and everything is good. This thing has insane power. When the slipper was loose I was disappointed in power but once tightened it is insane! Very happy with this purchase.

Hehe, i had exactly the same when i first drove the revo. Hmm, thats it? Ok ok, only 4S, but thats it? Then i read the manual and read about breaking in the clutch and tightening it after breaking in. Then the true power was released. + 18/54 instead of 18/65 for some more top speed, and since we have more than enough torque, still more than enough acceleration.
Truly is a 2wd truck on pavement. lol

slipper break in kind of important.. might flip the pads over & the clutch plate, & try to break in the pads......
Slipper Clutch Break In

Would you go flip my truck back over??
Would be better to buy new pads. They are tapered and are supposed to go in one way but probably wont hurt
I don't use pads I use a tmaxx 2.5 brake disk it's a perfect fit and works a million times better I got lucky I had an extra from way back when the 2.5 was new lol
6S OR NOTHING............................ maybe 5s
Well just had the pin fall out of one of the CVD's. Is there somehwere that shows a diagram of mip cvd's?
EDIT: if the grub screw is supposed to keep the pin in but is covered how do you lighten the grub screw??

Oh ok I figured they were like most Cvds hopefully someone else has them may know something
6S OR NOTHING............................ maybe 5s
Part #4 is a grub screw on that diagram...you need to bend the ball joint to get access to it to be able to fasten tight.
Edit: if the CVD is already on the truck you wont get access to the grub screw on the diff output.

Rock n Rolla !
Nope, I didn't have to I just took off the lower a-arm and could bend it enough to see the grub screw sweet.

That will keep you busy!
Always like when some packages are do in and the have some wrenching to do!
How exactly do you make a rear chassis brace? I was looking at tvr's Tor-X chassis brace but its $25 plus $15 shipping. I was gonna get it just for the plate. So how do you make a plate?

Get some aluminium or carbon fiber plate and cut a piece that goes over the shock tower with the 2 holes for the shock tower screws. Then for the tie rod drill one hole in the middle of the plate, and you're done. Other side of the tie-rod goes to the wing mount.
Hm, wanted to go for the Tor-X myself too, in combination with a HPP motor mount, but 40 dollar is somewhat too much for just a tie-rod..
By the way, thats your second option. Get a HPP motor mount, which is a great upgrade if i may believe everyone here, and drill and tap a hole in the center of the HPP shock tower mount.

IS there any good wheelie bar options with a single wheel? I have the stock wheelie bar but it looks so ugly and the integy one well you know its integy... Any other options? I saw someone made a brace to make the savage flux wheelie bar work but i'm not really up to doing that.

I wouldn't get the mashers not because they are bad, because you already have the trenchers which are pretty good on any terrain, since you want the looks big joes on axial looks pretty awesome. I would consider a single high torque servo, and the shroud before getting the bling.
FLM - EMAXX

that is easy to do!
Got a question. Does the summit have a bigger receiver box? Mine is so packed and I havent even added the summit bumper wire in there yet so was wondering if the summit had a bigger receiver box?

Think not, my revo s box is fully packed too. Especially after adding telemetry
So I did http://traxxas.com/support/Different...ion-and-Summit to get the rear diff out and I did all the steps but can't get the bulkhead off the chassis let alone get the diff out. How do I get it out?
ERBE

First time I tried to get the bulkheads out, missed undoing to shock screws...
Uhm, i just take the rear wing mount off, then the pushrods + rocker + springs and remove the screws securing the shocktower at the front of the shocks through the chassis to the bulkhead. Then i disconnect all axles and you should be good to go.
Especially those screws for the shock tower are important hehe
Yea that thing said nothing about the shock screws. I got it now. So how do you apply diff grease? Just put it around the gear or do you need to take the diff cup off? Also the guy said he dried up the diffs because he thought it was gonna sit on the shelf for awhile yet there is grease already in there.....![]()
