Why so many ESCs? But it's an awesome looking thing. Can you even fit a body on there?

    I'm still new to this...
What exactly is a BEC...what does it do...and what is the advantage?

    BEC- Battery Eliminator Circuitry
    http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...-Abbreviations

It eliminates the stress of reducing battery voltage down to 6v from the ESC.

Well I will explain, The BEC is what gives power to receiver, and therefore power's the servo, and in my case the fan and the led's, every ESC has a built in BEC, the castle BEC gives 5v and the VXL gives 6v, so the point is, the servo has more torque/speed on 6v, and I don't share the power to the motor with the fan and led's.

But the only reason I've done this is because I have one spare ESC, don't wast your money just to have an external BEC.

Ok, Ive to raise the body post's a little, but the body fits just fine, but it's a litlle heavyer.

That's right, for this you have to unplug the red wire from the motor esc that goes to the receiver.
Think it may not be noticeable, but the runtimes shoud be beter.

Yes 50, the mmp as an ajustable BEC voltage, but the sidewinder don't..even with the castle link.

SpeedView is cool, you can then export the trip and see it in Google hearth, it as 0-60 times etc, of course this app is to use in a 1/1 car, but for the e-revo is usefull too

But it would be nice to compare our results.

I use speedview also. Even as a speedometer fix in my real car. maybe I should fix that? Nah. Too expensive. I could spend the cash on Rc instead.

lol, you can project the speed on the windscreen also

50, that's an alternative, but for that we wave to pay for hardware right?

I've used Speedview a few times with my R/Cs and I also use Google's MyTracks to give me a visual of where I've ran, including colour coded speed, elevation, etc. Thought the wife was gonna kill me when I zip tied a brand new Android phone to my Jato!

Today I've reached 60mph, that's an insane speed, I've changed for the 31/50.. next I will be removing some weight trying to get 65mph! And I will be happy forever

PS:I'm on just rear wheel drive, my drive shaft has broken, the traction it's not bad, but I've no brakes, and if I brake hard the merv start's spinning at hight speed
