I have heard of several servos that would work much better than the stock one which mine is done. I have heard that blue bird makes a nice servo, or i could go buy like two $8 dollar servos. What are you guys using.

recently bought the hitec 5085 per a lot of ppl on here saying it is good and well its pretty sweet so far a lot better then stock for sure

Bluebird is a little stronger if you don't mind supporting the counterfeit company and have a few weeks to wait

Well...here's what I'm thinking...
The Corona is cheapest...but is really an "unknown" so far.
The Bluebird has good reviews(her and elsewhere) but...
When I Google search the Hitec 5085...I'm offered multiple places to purchase it from...even Amazon.
I think the availability accounts for something.

just installed a bluebird in mine it was a direct fit, havn't got to try it yet tho.

i would do the hi-tech but $40 bucks is a lot of money for a mini servo

Whats wrong with installing another traxxas servo and running two together? And its still waterproof.

Here's the best case scenario...
Traxxas has a full line of upgraded performance parts.
They need to develop a high speed metal gear waterproof replacement servo and offer it in the Traxxas store.
Problem solved.--

The hitech servo is great but I had my 85-MG for a short period of time and stripped the one plastic gear in it. I was not happy. I have ordered corona servos for my son's and my truck but getting very sick of waiting. If I didn't loose my job a month ago I would have bought two more Hitech servos and been running my truck for the last 3 weeks!
Saving money is fun but buying from the slowest company on earth is anoying. If you can afford it buy a hitech and you should be happy for a while! Maybe buy a cheap back up since they are only $10 or so shipped.
