Questions about the TQI 2.4GHZ 2 channel or 4 channel for my monster jam rc

    Hello,
I am a rookie at this stuff..
I have a questions on the TQI 2.4GHZ transmitters. I am using the stock transmitter that came with my electric Monster Jam rc truck. I would like to upgrade to the TQI 2.4GHZ radio/transmitter. First, will it work with my traxxas electric monster jam stampede?
What's the difference between the TQI 2.4GHZ 2 channel versus the 4 channel? What does the 2 channel versus the 4 channel mean?

    Thank you for your help!!

It will work with your Monster Jam.... bind, calibrate, drive.

2 Channels only have control over two objects... ESC and steering.
4 Channels will give you control over up to 5 objects... but this is because channel 4 is split into two half channels on the receiver.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

So what is the best (lowest cost / fastest) way to upgrade from a 2 channel to the 4 channel Tx ?

The power up seems to change both the tx and rx (i have a new E-Maxx). Why change the rx ?

Fastest/cheapest depends on your location... but generally eBay's Traxxas radios are cheaper than the upgrade program. I am not sure why they are changing the Rx too because they are all the same... possibly because sometimes people choose to upgrade when something is malfunctioning. When you get all new equipment it should all work.
