That's a decent gearing you could go up to 21/54 if you are running cool

you should at least jump up to the 18/54 supplied gearing if the truck came with the 54 spur.
if your batts are in the 5000 mAh 30C (150 amps) to 40C (200 amps) range.
21/54 is a good gearing I have ran it for a few yrs now, temps are pretty good.......
Would you go flip my truck back over??

Depends on where you are racing at and what kind of track/conditions. The general idea for racing is to have it geared where you can barely max out the speed in the longest stretch. Usually around 35mph.

18/65 gave me a max speed of around 30-35mph on 4s. It gets to that speed very fast with that gearing, so it wasn't too fun on the street, off road it was pretty good.

gearing for track racing is tricky. it's alot of trial and error i raced on a medium sized track last year and i geared 65/18 on 4S and never got above 135-140 even when it was the summer. it had plenty of speed. as far as my bashing gearing, i prefer 54/22 on 4-5S
