    Steel vs plastic is a matter of preference. Some run the plastic with the reasoning that its something that is cheap and easy to replace and a breaking point to save other driveline components. IMO thats what the slipper is for so I run the steel. The steel wears longer, wont strip out and your mesh wont loosen over time. I do lube them with dry graphite usually just a dab before I run it.

    Thats a 2.11 ratio and will run high speed but Im thinking you will find 4000mAh 25C to be a bit on the weak side.
    What ESC/motor combo are you running? If its not packing enough umph you may run into heat issues with 2:11. Thats pushing the envelope for high speed runs. Most folks run around a 3.0 gear ratio which with you running the mod 1 gears and a 38T spur would put you at about a 13T pinion.

    oops nevermind, dont say what motor and ESC you are running I can see the esc in the pic and that product line is not allowed for discussion on this forum.

    150A and 2000kV should push it but that battery is not going to produce enough to feed it.

    150A x 14.8=2220watts

    4000mAh=4amps
    4x25C=100amps
    100x14.8=1480 watts.

    If you go up on mAh and C rating you can push it.

    example.

    2200 watts/14.8=150A
    150A/5 (5000mAh)=30C
    30x 1.4 =42C peak
    So 5000mAh 40C woould be about as low as you would want to go.
