    my new KB project...

Today I snagged (basically stole) a 1/16 KB Rally/Revo conversion(with both bodies and all the stuff to switch it back to a KB).
    I gave $150 for everything.

Also snagged a mint replacement KB body (and a bunch of extra/upgrade parts)for considerably less than retail from a HS that's closing.

So far last night I got everything switched back to "KB mode"...
While changing everything back I installed a billet steering rack, billet shock towers, and billet front rockers(they didn't have the rears in stock).
I still have to do some adjusting on the suspension to get everything aligned right.
I also have some noise in one or both of the diffs.I'll tear into that issue this weekend.
The steering servo has been replaced with a hitec...but its working reversed. Can this be changed in the remote settings?

Dang this car is a blast with a Lipo in it.
Way more fun than I thought it would be.
I'm really glad I have a spare body for show(or whatever) and don't have to worry too much when the original one gets scratched.

I picked up another set of tires/wheels this weekend.
After I cleaned the chassis all up from todays playing...
I decided to get it "all cleaned up for a night on the town".LOL...

Well... I actually never drove this one as a Merv.
However... I also have a mini Summit, and a Merv with a 1/10 Castle in it...so I have the best of both worlds..
All 3 are great in thier own ways...but right now I'm actually having more fun with the Rally.
Btw...that body and tires/wheels are only for display. I have the other KB body and stock wheels to play with.

Ok...I think this "project" may have turned into an obsession.lol.
I now have two complete cars...plus the additional body.I'm currently working on getting another Rally(actually a Boss 302 that has minor issues.)
It will be turned into a rolling chassis with no running gear or electronics as basically a display stand for the mint body.
The Brushless Velineon setup out of that car will go into my daughters brushed Fiesta.

Questions on the possibility of a motor swap for my KB car.
I currently have a Merv with a Castle Creations Sidewinder 2 5700kv motor in it.
I had a pending trade...but the guy backed out.
    I had a thought..which may be a bad idea.

    1. How well would this motor/esc setup work in the KB Rally?
    2. If it would work well...what gearing would be optimal?
    3. Again if it would work well...would it be beneficial to install the center diff I have in my toolbox?

Keep in mind...I do not race this car.
It's mainly used for bashing and playing...with the occasional speed run.

How's that little monster run? On my stock brushless setup its fast. I can't imagine how fast yours will go. The green motor looks great too.

Haven't actually had a chance to run it yet.
Still need to install the center diff also.
