Traxxas has a nice chrome led light bar, part #6784
I really like em' plenty of light and they sit back far enough, plus if you have a rpm or t-bone front bumper you're covered.

The led bar is good. It can get damaged though even with a bumper. I loose LEDs on some hard impacts as the shell flexes and damages the connectors on the LEDs. I lost two....then used duct tape to protect the other two but alas they have stopped working. They did last 7-8mths though.

I intend to get some replacement LEDs and fix em up as they work great at night.

T-bone bumper I thinks. Looks a bit stronger than the RPM bumper I use.

I've got the Traxxas LED light kit and RPM Bumper. The light kit has survived many high speed impacts with immovable objects - including a telephone pole at around 40 mph. That crash broke the RPM bumper, A arm, front dif case, front bulkhead and pin, cocked the servo saver over (it was ok after I released it) and cracked my Raptor body - but the LED's and stock bumper around them survived with no problem.
    They're built to take bashing.

I bought the front bumper and servo guard as a package for 24.99 from The Toyz.com. The light bar I got off ebay, I think it was like 10 bucks.

Get the T-bone racing servo guard along with the bumper. T-bone racing sells them as a set. Very worth it since I've been running them ever since I bought my pede. My pede really takes a beating when I go bashing and both the T-bone racing bumper and servo guard really serve their purpose.

I went with the RPM canisters made for the slash 4x4. The RPM number is 80982 for the black ones and 80983 for the chrome. The mounting holes are spaced a bit different but elongating them slightly was enough to make it work. They were made to fit 3mm LEDs but I drilled them out to fit a 5mm LED from Radio Shack. I used these because they were availible in the store.

But they have a brighter ones online.

I took the ghetto approach. I took apart flashing birthday type hat from the dollar store and wired it up and strapped in on my truck has red, blue and green LEDs that can flash on different intervals or all stay on at once. Hasn't broke yet and even if it does it was only a dollar!
