    diff grease or fluid question

i am about to rebuild my diff and was wondering what weight diff fluid i should use? i read somewhere that the inner and outer need different weight? i want to know what would be the best to use to keep me from breaking my diffs. this will be the 3rd time i blew a diff but this time i will be shimming it but need advise on the fluid. what will heavier fluid do compared to lighter? thanks

Stock should be 30k front and rear. 50k in the back will lock up the diff a bit more like posi but wont slip as much in turns. Most run 50k front and back
On the ring&pinion put a light coat of grease. I use mobil one synthetic

The diff lube thickness you use will depend on what you want from your truck. This topic will be debated to no end.

I'm running a mixture of 100k and 50k upfront and 50k rear with 1/8 scale diffs. I like the thicker lube in the rear as it decreases rear traction while cornering (reduces wheelspin). Like 50, I use Mobil one synthetic red grease on my ring and pinion.
