Are they a good tyre for a summit and do they have a 17mm hub?

Not sure if they have a 17mm hub, but the those tires baloon like crazy on the truck. If you are looking for a tire that doesn't baloon too much under heavy power then I would stay away from these.

Taping helps any tire with ballooning. But taping also will stop some of the tire conforming is doing in rock crawling.
If you not going to be doing a lot of rock crawling, yes tap them.

The tires don't balloon that badly on the MT4 under 4S power... which is about 40MPH for that RC. Since the Summit probably won't reach those speeds with a DeWALT, I think you would be fine without taping.

Yes they balloon badly under 6s I should have been clearer in my first post. I specifically saw it run under 6s power. Should not be as bad under a 4s load.

Well buy the looks of ebay ill be buying the rims and tyres seperate so i may as well tape them, do you guys know how to glue tyres?

Only tape if necessary. If the tape comes off inside the tire it will be way out of balance. If you need tape,..you may have bought the wrong tires,....imo.
