    Hitec 7950th on summit?

Has anyone ran one of these on their summit? Is the upgrade worth the cost?

I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

Reading there site about them, do you have to have lipo battery's to use this servo? And while I'm here asking same question about the Savox SA-1230SG? I'm still using 8.4v 5000mah 7 cell's (got 6 now and still to cheap to go lipo (will do it sometime))

Yes it will work.may want to upgrade the steering bell crank and horn to aluminium as well so you can use all that power.

I've seen a lot of ppl talking about the GH Racing servo horn for the hitec, sounds like the Savox doesn't need anything just a bolt in? But I'm guessing I should still up grade to aluminum stuff?

Hitec has 23t spline count, futaba, traxxas and savox has 25t, so you need a different servo horn, I run a racers edge aluminum servo horn, the stock steering arm will work, but it is recommended to upgrade the servo saver spring for the heavy duty 5344x.

    Check this thread.

The summit already has the heavy duty spring stock, you can run the stock plastic parts if you want to,I tried it, 3 snapped off arms later.I upgraded, now it turns and hasn't caused me any grief since.
