Have I Been Charging Too Fast?

Hi, I own two NiMH batteries for my Rally VXL 1/16, and have always used a charger for my Rustler for NiMH batteries. The problem is that the lowest setting is 1.5A and the battery is 1200mAh, so I would assume it would be 1.2A at most. Have I been charging he battery too fast? I have noticed the original battery has not been lasting as long as the newer battery, but I've had it for a while. Could this cause a problem for my batteries?

Good question. I wouldn't go any higher than 1.5 amps, but you're fine! 1C is ideal for NiMh cells (in your case, that would be 1.2A) But it's not like you're massively overcharging your packs with 1.5 amps...

In fact, printed on my Traxxas 3000 mah NiMh packs is an instruction to charge them at 4 amps, if desired. I generally won't charge above 1C, but in your case, it's no big deal...

Thanks, just wondering considering it was fast to full charge.
