transmitter will not attempt to bind

Just got the tqi transmitter, receiver and docking base (#6507) got it installed and had it working, had to go into the house mid run so i shut down the esc, when i came back out my summit was unbound and unresponsive, so i opened the reciever box to try to re-bind. now the transmitter won't go into bind mode, when i hold the set button and switch it on the led doesn't come on at all. the transmitter does power up without the set button held, both the transmitter and receiver have been updated. can't reset transmitter to defaults either, same result as trying to bind. The transmitter is not connecting to the app either. any ideas on how to solve this?

Call Traxxas... it is the only thing I can think of.
