Mmp question.

I am considering a slash 4x4 in my future. I currently nave a 2 wd pede with a MMP and a 3800 4 pole. When I get the slash the Traxxas BL motor and esc will go into the pede, and the mmp/3800 will go into the slash.
I have been lurking on your forum trying to get some info before I buy the new ride , and I have read the 3800 gets hot on 3s
So my question: can the mmp run a 2400 or 2650 4 pole on 4s safely ?
Or should I just sell one of the set ups and buy a MMM / 2xxx combo?
And what combo? 2200,2400,or 2600?

Yes it will run the 2400 and the 2650. I went with the MMM just in case I decide to throw in a 2200 at some point. I even run 6s on my 2650 with no problems what so ever. 6s is a bit much for bashing imo but its fun for speed runs.

Thanks, MMM is big bucks, I have a couple 3s packs now so I will run those until I can get a 4 or 5s pack. Mostly a basher myself. Would you recommend the 2400 or 2650? I am looking for 55/60 mph without heat issues.
What should my top end be 3s with either the 2400 or 2650?

I am partial to the 2650 mainly because I haven't run the 2400. You won't have to worry about heat problems with the 2650 for sure. On the same voltage the 2650 should be slightly faster. I haven't run on 3s with it so I'm not sure. On 6s I was hitting 65 geared 21/50 before running out of room. I haven't clocked it on 4s yet.

I have a MMP and 2650 in my slash 4x4. I'd recommend it over the 2400. The MMP will do fine with it on 4S. You'll have to solder new bullet connectors on either the ESC or motor.

Ive run both the 2400 and 2650. If you plan on racing your track may not allow the 2650. The 2400 is the largest can Castle has that is still ROAR legal 550 can. The 2650 is more robust and runs MUCH cooler. I ran it on the MMM though as thats the ESC it was intended to run with, already had the correct connections and could go to 6s and a 2200 If I wanted to and eventually did try out. Was just too much IMO. I eventually went to Tekin sensored as although the 2650 did a great job a pushing the truck at high speeds and staying cool I wasnt too pleased with the cogging at the low end.
