I really like your build
When do you think it will hit the ground?

Do you guys have any suggestions on initial slipper clutch adjustment? Revo spec with alloy pads.

I run my slipper with the nut backed out 1/2 from tight.

Began wheels today. 2.8 Trencher onto 3.2 Revolver. Trimming the tire to size was very easy, literally less than 5 minutes to complete both beads. The wheel on the other hand......pretty much sums up the emotional rollercoaster. Dont let anyone fool you, wheel trimming is time consuming. However, the results aren't too bad for my very first mount. One down, three to go.

I've been following your thread and decided it was time to say WOW! You're going to have one of the nicest pede's around. Those wheels are sick!

Front end finally finished:
Modified front shock guard fits P-L arm nicely. Note Lunsford Ti hinge pin passes completely through the caster block:

Saw that question in the other thread, but was unsure if discussion of specific merchant+price was allowed. Other non-RC sites I belong to heavily frown upon this practice (certain AV sites and auto enthusiast sites come to mind). I originally found the price and B&M (with online presence) via Google.

They said Keith Richards might get back together. Me too, slowly but surely:
Still waiting for servo.....![]()

Phils is a great place for parts, and at great prices too. Many purchases in the past from them. They are semi-local to me.
Everything overpowered...
The only thing that I replaced was the original solid ball screw with the hollow ball pivot connectors. I took the hollow balls off of the original shocks that came with my roller. Traxxas exploded view lists two different PNs:
2742x
1942
2742x looks like your best bet. There are decent pics on Amazon, in fact 1942 shows the ball scrwes that I took off of the sway links.

Finally finished 2.8 Trenchers/3.2 Revolvers. Of course, trimming the tires was easy. The pile of black bands in the pic are the sections of bead that were trimmed from the tires. The wheels however...![]()

Scissors followed by Dremel for the wheels. X-acto for tires. Honestly, the wheels aren't that difficult. Just very time consuming/tedious.

I must admit that I was slightly nervous prior to gluing the tires. However I found the process to be gratifying and relaxing. I am looking forward to gluing my other set as soon as I find the time.
If anyone is on the fence regarding gluing your own vs purchasing pre-mounted, I highly recommend going DIY. Not only will you find more wheel/tire possibilities, you will gain useful RC experience and skill.

Dude awesome build! I just loved looking through it all. Is is going to get dirty?? Can't wait to see the end!
Finished up the 2.8/3.2 combos and put them on:
And finally... I know this platform is not all about crawling, but I just dig articulation shots:

That's going to be one of the nicer Pedes around here...

I'm gonna sound like I live under a rock, but I have never seen an RC truck or car running (in person). I've seen planes and helis, but never anything with wheels. I guess by default, it will be the nicest one that I've ever seen. Now, if I can just get motivated and paint the body. Waiting for servo to arrive before I finalize the ESC/BEC placement.

i have a question for you is the stampede 4x4 built on the same platform as the slash 4x4? i have a slash and would love to make it a pede your build is awsome
6S OR NOTHING............................ maybe 5s
They differ just a few parts. You can check the exploded views for details.
Nobody is born with experience.
Servo showed up. Anybody got a good gustimate on which brand? Squinting is allowed:

Savox is my guess.

Removed chassis for mods. Still new at this, so I get pretty geeked out over these sort of skeletonized pics. I'm sure that many seasoned P4ders will probably find them somewhat mundane:
