Looking good! Get some bearings in the carriers from a high end maker, you'll be golden. This is pretty close to the xl build, just through a sl4sh chassis in there and you'll probably never turn back lol.

Since I built my P4de with components from over a dozen manufactures, I have a billion decals. Decided to trim out and paint another lid yesterday just for decals. I figure that it is my Comp lid. I'll do a Custom lid in the future, with my first attempt at ghost effects. Got a great deal on P-L lids, so I have a stack of lids on my shelf. Paint on the other hand... the cost of those rattlers really can add up.

Man that body looks Tight! Nice work buddy! How are you liking the 3.2" mashers and what gearing are you running? I gave up on the 3.2" mashers on the hr p2de cuz I had to gear way lower than I preferred to. You're truck is a bit lighter than mine though. the big mashers also made very short work of the spring in my hd servo saver, after a few runs the saver had massive amounts of play.

Didn't measure the pins though. Won't have hands on the truck until later this week... I'll get measures then.

With the hot/humid weather right now, the 3.2s just generate too much heat on the motor and the servo. Love the chevrons though, so I am currently working on 2.8 Mashers on 3.2 Revolvers.

I am now a big fan of precision driving, so I gear relatively low with a 13T pinion. I have also removed my RPM bumper in lieu of stock, and have removed my wheelie bar so that I have to be thoughtful in my driving... assists with suspension of disbelief.

Anyhow... didn't care for original design, so I swapped some of the decals. Will mount the new lid when my new Mashers are finished.

The pins on either end measure 9.85 mm.

The rear outdrive will not fit through the motor mount bearing, making slipper clutch removal more complicated. You either need to remove the rear outdrive for slipper unit removal, or you need to pull the motor mount bearing out with the slipper unit. I can pull my new Avid bearing with relative ease, however the bearing supplied with the King Headz mount was impossible to remove with the slipper unit due to extremely tight tolerances.

Well, I blew apart the spiders in my rear diff this weekend. The carnage actually ate through the four self-tapping screws that secure the ring gear to the carrier. I have to say... it was pretty awesome. Decided to paint another body to lift my spirits (I was out of booze AND ice cream). Throughout my journeys on the RC forums, I have concluded that you're not a true RC enthusiast until you have sprayed a purple body... for better or for worse.

We need to see mounted pics of that new purple body...

IMHO, painting a pink body is what separates the men from the boys. Not every rc enthusiast is willing to do something like that!

Awesome paint job, as usual. I was just wondering about the windows. Is it on purpose that you can't see through them? Or did you make the same mistake as I once did, and let the window masks on too long?

They are tinted. I used Pactra "window tint" on the yellow truck, and Tamiya "Smoke" on the blue and purple trucks. Difficult to capture on camera; looks great mounted.
