My 1 month old E revo 1/16 vxl is broke :(

    Hi guys and girls,

I have just taken my car the park, drove it for 2 mins only to find it lost rear wheel drive. Only has front wheel drive now

I took the plate off the bottom to find this:

How can I fix this or should I send it back as a manufacturing defect?

Traxxas will not do anything about it. Just go buy a new shaft only about $10

These little cars have a lot of power.
Combine it with a situation where you instantly grab traction...and something has to give.
I'd suggest upgrading to metal center shafts(not Integy brand).
There is still going to be periodic breakage...but after the upgrade the next weak link is the axle shafts...which are easy to replace..

I personally recommend sticking with the plastic axle ahafts.
If you replace them with the metal shafts...you'll start breaking expensive...and harder to replace parts.

How do I change the part? I can't find a way to get at it. Is there a you tube video. Have looked but can't find one.

Also, what part number do I require? 7054?

Or 7056? There is so many lol

    7056 is the factory replacement.
7250R is the steel upgrade kit.
To remove that broken part...while looking at it,slowly turn the rear rires.
Youll see a tiny allen head scrrw. Your Revo ahould have come with a tool kit. The smallest included Allen wrench will fit that screw.
Remove it and the broken part will just slide off of the shaft..
Then just replace it with the new piece.

Looks like an easy fix - my son broke his 2 week old merv just last weekend

chassis - rear bulkhead and an A arm - thankfully the shop 5 minutes from my house is well stocked. Two hours later we were back up and running
