3908 transmission

Hey guys, I'm looking to convert my 3906 into a 3908. What parts do I need to Build the transmission from the ground up, or where can I find prebuilt transmissions? Also are the gears in the 3906 differentials the same as the gears in the 3908?

I went through the same process. It's a lot easier to buy stripped off parts from eBay. When I bought my 3908 transmission it didn't come with the 4mm screws to bolt it to the chassis. Double check the listing and compare it to the exploded parts list for the 3908 to catch the little things that'll keep you from finishing your build.

The parts list has different part numbers. From what I recall, the gears themselves are pretty much the same. I bought these prebuilt as well.

Also are the gears in the 3906 differentials the same as the gears in the 3908?

The 3908,05,03 pinion gear is shorter and it might cause a problem with center CVD's on a 3906.
