Well guys I had a 70t Spur with a 22 tooth Clutchbell and it ran great. Wheelies all day long. I said the truck had "stupid torque." I changed my suspension a little to control the wheelies and see how different riding styles are, afterall that is what this hobby is all about trying everything and seeing what you like.

I burnt the 70t spur up and apparently my clutch shoes went too, so I decided to put a stock 72th spur with a new 24th clutchbell and new clutch shoes in (new bearings needed for the 24 tooth cb because they are different sizes). The machine def has some more top speed, it is very obvious.

Was it worth it? No. Come next weekend I will probably sand a little on the 22t cb and put it back on the truck. I enjoyed the torque that the truck had before and the stock CB seems to be just right for overall performance. Traxxas chose it for a reason. If I had a bigger picco with more out of the box torque I might consider going back to a 24t. It would probably be a perfect balance then.

Basically top speed on a truck is cool when you haven't seen it, once you see it you realize well thats not what the truck was built for. Bashing is the way to go.

Enjoy the weekend folks!
