    How far does the 2.4 ghz radio and receiver go on the 1 16 e revo vxl?

    As far as the eye can see (probably farther). Provided you have fresh batteries, of course. Do a range check with a friend using cell phones.

    I range tested a TQ 2.4 in a Slash 4x4 to a measured 800 feet. It was a long walk when I flipped it.

    I was able to go at least 400-500 ft before mine stopped controlling, this is a "guesstimate" distance from my in law's house to theworkshop. I'm upgrading to the TQI #6513 for my mini e-revo, if I'm doing mach 2 with the 3s lipos it gets out of range fast wit the stock radio's decent range. Long walks after flipping over isn't fun as was mentioned.

    with my new revo 3.3 i can only go like maybe 50ft and it starts to sometimes not respond to the remote ... not sure why

    Check all batteries, both rx and tx in your case, and you can also pull the antenna tip up some.
