I have a 3908 with a mamba monster. I have the option of running a castle 2200 or a tekin 1900. Which one should I use and why. I do speed runs on Fridays and race at the offroad track on weekends. I always change gearing depending what I'm doing.

I have no experience with the tekin but my 2200 on 5s will wheelie at over 50 if I hit the throttle too hard
Lower kv =more power, less heat buildup, but you need more voltage, and gearing it up to get the same speed of a higher kv. The only advantage of tekin is they are sensored motors meaning that it won't cog at lower speed.

50 how does your 2200 do with heat? What gearing?
Rc fan I know it's sensored but ima be using a mamba monster. So the sensor will not matter
I only have does 2 and don't want to spend money on another motor. I had a 2650 on it and I was really happy with the way it ran.
I was running 24/54 on stock tires doing some speed runs with a data logger. Been pretty cool out in the 50's and 60's and motor temps were good
Oh ok. What about if I take out the 2650 I have on my buggy and put it on the e maxx and the 1900 or 2200 on buggy. What you guys think. I just want the best combination. I do the same with all my cars.
What lipos do you use and do you know the ready to run weight of your truck?
I use 4s but batteries are no problem. Not sure on weight.
Stick with the 2200 in the maxx the 2650 is more suited for lighter cars
The maxx is around 11 lbs stock
The best combination, depends on gearing, terrain, and lipo config. A lower kv will be the best since it will run cooler. Consider that the 2650, and the 1900 kv that you have are for buggys, they might work, but not recommended for heavy trucks. I would keep the 2200 on the emaxx.

Ok. Ima go with the 2200. I just wanted something a Lil different.
Plenty of ways to do that!
I'd say the 2200kv is your best choice. Like to hear how you think it compares to the 2650kv you had in it.
Do you race the truck at the track on weekends?
Yeah we race on weekends but not professional. We just race for fun.
