Just wanted to post pics of how low the truck sits after shocks compress I know you guys said it's normal that they don't come up all the way but just curious from my pics is this fine

Id say thats pretty low. Are you running stock shocks/oil ? My 4X4 sits way higher than that.

very low for front rear is a shot low personally i like the rear arms to sit level with the skid plate when on the throttle the drop test is a good way to test instead of just pushing the chassis down drop from about 1 foot simulates a medium jump at full speed

sorry I'm running traxxas big bores and for now their stock silicone shock oil, I mean when I pic up the truck it decompresses and sits high but once I hit bumps, jumps, or even just full throttle the back slams down and it pretty much stays in that position, in those pics I pushed the truck down all the way then took the pics

hmmmm stock oil and how much preload are you using i think i saw the .5 inch on the rear i couldnt tell on front

For sitting on a rug witch is holding it from coming up any higher,that looks about right.
Try it in a hard surface,like a would floor,it does look just a bit low,but like i said,if you just pushed it down on the rug ,and slowly let go,that's about right
Push it forward about a foot and a half,bet it comes up a bit.
Plus your shocks are in way to far on the control arm,you have five holes,put them in the second hole from the out side in. And run a half inch spacer in the fronts.
And your right front shock looks bent.Might just be the pic.

yea I want to try heavier shock oil I heard the stock one is 30weight??? and I have the 8mm spacers on the back and I had the 4mm on the front but took them off

no vid sorry, but alright I'll try what billy said and I doubt my shock bent I haven't even really got to bash yet so yea probably the pic but I'll take a second look

One thing you might also check is the control arm pins. Pull them out and clean them up and also run a pipe cleaner through the bulkheads where the pins go through. I haven't had my 4x4 long but I have this issue on the back of my 2wd. If it binds there it keeps the suspension compressed.

shock seems fine it's just really hard to tell if it could be slightly bent but I hope not just got em brand new only been on there for 1 day, but I'll try moving the shocks I just put em back to the original hole it was, how about the front better on the inner or outer hold

I run mine on the outer hole,with a half inch spacer.and 45 weight oil.

alright the front w/ 8mm spacers made a big difference it decompresses perfectly even, and the rear w/ 8mm spacers and moving it out to the 2nd hole in from the outer side helped a bit almost even but not quite there

One of your front shocks is in the outer hole one is in the inner !!

Just some fine tuning,your getting it,and as you go,you'll learn what hurts your truck and what dosent.

I think it's the pic big D,but you could be right,i thought the right shock looked a bit bent,but it was the pic.

yea sorry about that I took the pic all crooked but suspension is working fine now, but in the back I had to put 8mm 4mm 2mm spacers to get it to level out

That's 1 mm over the way they come stock.in the rear,bet that's because of the big bores. Good job,Nap time.lol.
