Yes, I bought parts individually and I paid 73$ with a LHS discount....I would say this is a REALLY good deal!

Is the LCG that much better if your just going to bash?

For just bashing, I'd say 50/50. Here's some of the benefits:
- almost always landing right-side-up
- much less rollover during turns
- more control in jumps
- the traxxas lcg chassis design lets debris settle below the center shaft and electronics, so there's less damage.

If you don't have any issues with the above stuff on your current slash, then it wouldn't be worth it.

New Traxxas Slash 4X4 Owner... I haven't had much of a chance to tear down my Slash or do much maintenance on it.
I'm interested in the LCG kit. It would be a great help if someone could post a video showing the conversion.

If you have a new slash chance are it is already LCG. When did you buy it and which model?

No, Unfortunately I bought it just before the LCG's were released. I have model # 6807. I'm happy with the way it runs, but may want to go for the LCG kit for the benefits it provides.

Personally I would go with the STRC LCG. That's what I did even though I have LCG already.

Go for it. Other companies make LCG kits for the slash too. However, most of those are designed just for racing. The traxxas LCG will hold super-large batteries and any motor/esc combo you want. Maintenance is super-easy, and parts are cheap and always available.
