I have the Traxxas EZ peak plus charger which is programmable. I want to safely discharge my battery. I have the stock 1200 mah battery that came with my E Revo VXL. What would be a safe discharge setting for it?

I cycle my NiMh packs at 1C. In your case, that's 1.2 amps.
In all honesty, though, why do you want to discharge it? There's really no danger in leaving it partially charged. NiMh has a tendency to lose charge over time anyway.Last edited by zippogeek; 02-08-2013 at 02:46 PM.

Zippo is right... there is no reason to discharge NiMh unless you are cycling the battery. Even if it is at full voltage.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
