    Mini Maxx

So, let's face it. An E-Maxx is mostly the same thing as an E-Revo. So why not have a Mini Maxx? I just need to get an extra set of shocks and a second body. All I need to do is put a second set of shocks on top of the current ones and put the new body on and voila. Mini Maxx. Do I need anything else to make this conversion?

Are you sure you understand how shocks work? If you are interested in looks, have at it but for function there's plenty of adjustability in the basic merv system. Multiple shocks were a poser fad of the 80s and are not needed very often on a well set up suspension
There are lots of ways to do that. Most are wrong.

I understand how shocks work and I see your concern. I think I'd like the suspension even stiffer. It would help with jumping because there would be more resistance against bottoming out, correct?

nope, I think bottoming is good for us as it gives forces somewhere to go besides the model. You can easily set up an over stiff suspension using one shock per wheel with springs and oil. As I' sure others will tell you. Look at spring s and shock oils available, they make a huuuuge difference

Ya, I run 100 wt oil and black and tan springs. Not stiff enough. I know there are cheaper fixes, but this will look cool as well.

You still have three more steps of springs - pink, blue & purple
I guess the look of cool is subjective, build it how you like it

I have a mini revo a big revo and a e maxx. Not close to being the same
E maxx is older technology and revo handles better and is stronger
Look at a 1/8 scale buggy toughest of the group and bottoms out on any jump because that's how its made and needs too

I would run 80wt oil and stiffer springs id you want a stiffer ride

You can check out Savage XS Flux. Merv and Savage were my first options when I want to get for a rc car. Both have same ground clearance.

I didn't state the brand name, did I?

If you want crazy stiff you can double up the stock springs. My buddy did this and it was hard to even push it down by hand!!!
