QR-1 Motor Guards / Protective Collar Parts Availability

I sent them an email asking for my other 3 spacers. Including this spacer is a clear indication that the motor has a design issue so I am hoping to get an additional 3 to correct the other motors. I think everyone with a QR-1 should contact Traxxas and ask to have 4 spacers sent to them free of charge.
Can we get a response from Traxxas on these spacers? Will they be offered up separately? They're amazingly critical to overall longevity of these machines.

    Pics here.

Got an email today from Traxxas and they are sending me 3 more spacers.
Looks like they are going to support the design issue.

    Good for you Traxxas !

I just called the traxxas parts dept and the rep said they do not have a part number on the spacers yet, however he said he will send me some. Better call and request a set before they run out.

I called 3-5-13 and talked to a service guy and four of them were sent out for free.

I called traxxas today and asked about the spacers and yes they asked me for the part number and its not even listed. The guy said they were not free that they were like 3 bucks, which isn't a big deal but I thought they might be free. Also when I went to the Barret Jackson car show in Scottsdale Traxxas was set up there and I wanted to buy some blades they had none? I'm just wondering why Traxxas would go to one of the largest car shows in the country with a new product and not even have any blades?

I called Traxxas last week and they said they currently had no plans to sell them as a seperate part. For now the only way to get them is with a new motor.

As if no one answered you! The spacers help prevent damage to the motors in the event of a crash where the rotor is pushed down, instead of pushing down on the shaft causing damage to the motor, the rotor is pushed down only as far as the spacer will allow
