    BackSlash basher

I was thinking of getting a slash 4x4 pe for christmas and making it into a backslash. I was looking at using the proline bulldog body for the rc8, a tekno wing mount for the 8ight, and proline masher 2k's on traxxas black-chrome 2.8 rims

Backslash's are cool! I have one and really like it, it's been a fun summer racing and just fooling around with it. My only constructive advice is get yourself some 17mm adapters and put buggy tires on it. Masher's are great tire, I have them on my Pede, but will balloon like crazy at any real speed. Build a buggy, put buggy tires on it. If you were turning a Slash into a monster truck the Masher's would be fine. IMO!

It seems like people use the Crowd Pleaser body. Yours will be original.

It'll only be the third bulldog here! Thanks for giving me credit btw Mustang I think buggy tires would be a good idea. You can get cheap, decent quality tires on ebay from a seller named suprasales. All kinds of tires there, even slicks!

If you want a higher quality, more expensive tire, Proline has some great options

Here are some old pics of my conversion from a while back. The thing was a beast and handled great. Very stable in the air and fast as all can be on 3S
There are a lot of Backslash Threads in here, lots of cool rides and great ideas. Good luck, you wont regret it

Still think it would be cool to use the mashers on 2.8's so it is different and would be a hyprid between a mt and backslash

Just do it they are much more fun to bash around with and mine doesn't roll half as much now

I have the silver sway bar on the front and the black sway bar on the rear and i am running the center diff as well

I really like the look of the bulldog body and we need TRAXXAS to make a 1/8th buggy from the factory with MMM + 2650KV mtr with steel CVD's , I would buy one in a flash

Here is my incarnation of a backslash

And for my wing mount i used a losi losa4435 wing and mount and a piece from an E-Maxx shock tower to secure the upper wing mount bolts to the tower of the slash and to hold the rear body mount

I have a MMM + 2650 here waiting to install but i am waiting on a few parts for the drive shafts

It take all of 20 minutes to convert it back to a short course truck if you needed to sell it or wanted to race SC at your local track

Mashers on 2.8's will not balloon if you tape them. I think it would look unique, as I have not seen those on a buggy. Now only if they made a buggy roll cage for the 4x4. You could make body panels and have a great basher setup.

This pic was before my adapters came in. These are 30 series Badlands perfect for bashing. Or try these for the ultimate basher tire. MT size Bowties. They also make Badlands in this size 3.2".

The one here with the white body and blue flames is the one that inspired me to put together a backslash.

From a local ebay hobby shop he has a retail shop that i go to as well

They are a solid tyre design with no insert or air gap just solid soft'ish rubber good grip when warm and awesome for speed runs and no ballooning

I have my reciever box up front, and Im wondering if that will get in the way. The 777 crowd pleaser looked like it would fit over the box better. Any suggestions?
