and it would depend on the price.
if it were $400 to $600 oh yeah, i would have one on order, as i am sure many others would. But anything more than like 650-700, there wont be too many people interested

just how short of a wheelbase are we talking about? i know one guy did modded a XO-1 chassis to fit 325-330mm wheelbase for 1/8 scale body and also he did a 360mm wheelbase to fit a GT2 body.
heres some of his XO-1 family,

So, what your asking is if people would be interested in a new electric 4 tec... cause thats esentially what a 1/10 XO-1 would be.

i bet ppl would , I bought 2 XO-1's at $1,000 a pop and theres other members whom have bought 2 and more so its safe to say they would buy a 1/10 scale like hotcakes , but I doubt they would charge 650-700 for a 1/10 scale onroad car , imagine all the people whom bought a 1/8 serpent cobra gtE at a cost of $600 no electronics , wheels or body

I would not spend more than $500 for a mini version of an XO-1 and it better have better performance than a Rally 1/10 especially since you can buy brand new XO-1s for under $770 now! The point of an XO-1 is it's a BIG car that can handle high speeds a lot easier than a 1/10 car can. If you want an AWD road car with LCG buy a Rally 1/10 and swap the wheels, tires, and body.

+++++++++1 on 4-tec. it dosent have to do 100mph. id be cool with 60-70 mph. it is hard to keep up with my buddies sprint2flux with my 1/16 rally/camaro. i thought about the xo-1, but id just be showing off, and wrecking it. i just wanna have fun at about 65mph.

i have a school bus blacktop parking lot that is huge in my town. and friends, and i make a track with rope for walls, and race, and have fun.

there is no onroad class for XO-1 , thats where TRAXXAS as a company messed up, had they made this 1/8 scale and signed agreements with auto companies to be licensed to make todays real world bodies they would of killed the onroad market 1/8 but they would of still had to charge $1000 for a rtr car . like this they made a bigger car with a no name body that looks cool but doesnt resemble anything except a protype of sort .

the 1/8 cars will eat a xo-1 on the track , even a $200 roller gtp but thats not to say driving it on the track isnt fun , just not fun when 1/8 cars are passing you on turns then you catch them on the straight and again they take you on the turns . but im sure a great driver could make one compete
would love to have a 325mm or 360mm xo-1 setup to test against 1/8 cars . but then you have a serpent corba roller for $600 no body or wheels just a chassis kit that you put together from scratch and that thing is supposed to be the best onroad kit money can buy as of right now but by the time you buy motor ,esc, servo, rx, tx, batteries, body ,wheels and tires you are well over $1,000 and giving you can get a brand new xo-1 shipped for under $800 rtr , you cant really find a better deal

It would just be yet another 1/10 touring car. The market is absolutely full of those.

Not that it is entirely a bad idea Specially not if it ends up being a fairly competitive race car.

I couldn't agree more, 60-70 MPH is already insanely fast for a 1/10 scale. I've seen a 70 MPH pan car literally tear a hole in a brick wall... And it wasn't going at full speed.

Don't get me wrong, I think speed is cool and a great challenge. But I also fear for potential accidents. A $1000 XO-1 is one thing, but a $400-$500 100 MPH touring car could be bad for the hobby's image if kids start loosing feet during accidents.

That brick wall was probably being held together by bubblegum.

They should just keep expanding with the mini vehicles but get off the same revo chassis platform, I think (as well as others) that a mini e maxx would be sweet!

Higher quality parts for the price they ask would be better! I would probably stay away from it if they made a 1/10. It would be over priced.

The larger one is cool but I wouldn't pay a $1000 for it, it's not worth it to me. I can can spend 1/2 of that and get a higher quality car that can really take a beaten.

So a mini xo-1 would be cool but the price wouldn't. A 1/10 xo-1 kit would be cool because I'm no noob and a RTR come with much stuff I don't need.

Traxxas should start making kits for Xperts Only!

    No pun intended!
