    Its my brothers car.
The car is stock. Im not sure what gear thingy is orignal. I have just heard taht if you change the tire size, you must gear down/up something.
He is using 2S batteries, so 4S total.

If he has stock tires and gearing then he might be ok ! Trenchers x are much taller then stock but I went from stock gearing to 22/54 with stock tires
Just keep an eye on the temps til you know how hot it runs the way you normally drive it

2/2s you should be ok with the stock gearing 18/54, with about any tire combo.
Even with the Trencher X, just watch the temp the first few runs to get an idea of temps..

A temp gun is kind of a must have.....
Hot motor + cool esc = under geared.
Cool motor + hot esc = over geared
    Everything warm just right..

Motor ~ 180/190*F (82/88*C) maximum, ideally 140/160*F (60/71*C), temps can be 10*F higher inside the motor
ESC ~ pretty much same temps / Fan comes on @ 150*F (65*C)
    Lipo's ~ 140*F (60*C) max, ideally 100/120*F (38/49*C).........

Outside temp might have a impact too. We are driving in snow now. It's about 0C outside now.

So the Trencher X would be OK?
I have them on mine, and the traction on snow/ice isnt the best, but it works.

    Cold weather will definitely help
Try it and check temps after a few to see how warm it is

If you get that much snow might build some snow chains. think I used #12 not #16 jack chain...

I have snowchains for my summit. Not sure if he wants to do that.
Think he will go for the Trencher X tires.

    Trencher X without snowchains.

Summit on snow (and ice under the snow) with Trencher X and snowchains.
