Best way to video Summit?

OK. I am loving all the cool videos people have done on the Summit from this forum and on youtube. Would love to produce some of my own, but I can't afford something like a GoPro camera.

Also I usually find myself alone when I am out spending time driving and enjoying the Summit. I do have an iphone. Does anyone have any cool cheap way I can both drive the Summit and film it with an iPhone at the same time? I could tripod it put then you can follow the vehicle. I am trying to come up with some way to mount it to my tx and or myself that can film my POV.

Guess I can always duck tape it to my forehead!?

Any ideas or suggestions or links to ideas would be appreciated.

I used an otter box clipped to the front of my shirt collar a few times, it kind of worked hard to keep phone from bouncing around though. You also have to remeber to keep facing the summit unless you want to get some nice footage of the scenery lol.

mini keychain camcorder. good item to velcro on your summit hood. cost me 6 bucks on ebay. there are glasses made also with a camera in them. they are in the 10-20 dollar range. cheap, and they work. thats all that counts.

here is a clip of this cam in action. it is hard to determine where your at when velcroed on the controler. but with practice. it can happen.

I too tried the otterbox clipped to my shirt as well. I agree it kind of worked.....but your right you do really have to keep adjusting your torso to keep the truck in frame and if you don't...well your right nice footage of the background without the truck you will have.

I may look into the mini camcorder keychain or something similar option. Perhaps I could tape it to the side of my sunglasses while I drive.

I like the setup on the transmitter. Just make sure its always pointed at the truck I assume.

I would LOVE to get a GoPro! Just right now spending $300 on one is just not in the cards after I just spent what I did to get the truck.

Think I will give the keychain camera a try just to get some simple video to share via photobucket and such.

plus if by chance you would buy the keychain. or the glasses. you will also need this mini sandisk.
. it was like 8 bucks at walmart.
i think all you get in the package is the cam/charge cord that plugs into a computer. or if you got a plug in adaptor. the one from my cel phone works. you only use the front 2 buttons. the back ones are for looks. it does take pics also. i like it.

Thanks. The footage looks really good. Surprisingly good for a camera so small. Think I could shoot some great footage with that little thing hide it in the rocks and drive right over it. Very cool.

That was one of the main factors for me small enough to get some interesting shots.my only complaint is battery life
After a while it starts to get shorter.although I HAVE run it over crashed into and onto it numerous times
Its pretty much done now but great cam for the price
