You can put 2X 2S hardcase lipos on their side and use a series connector. That works and has the added benefit of being 2 pack that fit other vehicles.
Pede, Summit,
ERBE, Rally,
Motley Crew, 1SQ
ok I might try that. Is there any 4s lipos that fit?
this is what i use and fits perfect with extra room to put a foam to keep it from sliding around.

too bad their out of stock or i would have order another one, but the 4000mah is available if you dont mind the runtime a bit short than the 5000mah, i get a good 35mins on my 5000mah.
dont forget to buy the tall battery hold.
Does anyone have any tips on installing this motor/esc?
Move the receiver box to the front shock tower. There are 2 hole's for it to attach. You can get a custom plate for the esc from STRC and it will bolt right up and attach the esc with servo tape. Install the motor so the wire's are facing up or to 10 oclock. Set mesh as you would with any other motor and off you go. I run this combo on 4s in my slash 4x4 and use 60% punch control and still see standing back flip's.

How is the reciever held in place. My guess is two sided tape. Figured I would ask before I broke something. I ordered the STRC esc plate and servo tape

At first I moved the Rx box to the front of the chassis. Once I got everything situated I moved it back to the bottom of the pan. It fits perfect and snug. I cut a piece of lexan to fit and drilled holes where it bolted down on the chassis, then mounted it to that plate using 3m double sided tape.
I thought I had a better shot of it. Here is one more, but shows mainly the motor.
I need to snap some better updated shots.
Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength.
im talking about the reciever it self. The screws are underneath the reciever. I cant get the reciever out to get to the screws.
Oh, you have to use a thin flat head and pry the receiver off the inside of the receiver box. Just go gentle and work from the side's in and it will pop off.
