aftermarket part to link revo to phone?

I have a revo 3.3 but i didn't get it brand new. Is there an aftermarket part i can buy so i can link it to my iphone with the traxxas app?:confused

Do you have the TQi radio? If not, you'll need it with the docking base.

+1 to what Double G said and the TQI is only compatible with Gen 2-4 iPod touch and iPhone

Mine is working fine with my iPhone 5.

hmmm i read it was only compatible with gen 2-4. I had the opportunity to get a gen 5 ipod touch for pretty cheap and passed under the preconceived notion it wasnt compatible

It sticks way out because of the adaptor but works fine.

Well I should add after some firmware updates...I had trouble at first.

is the temp on the iphone as accurate as a temp gun? I have the Traxxas on board temp gauge and the telemetry temp is based on the same type of heat sensor and i dont really trust it. The on board always reads way hotter than my temp gun.

I haven't compared them yet. I would say reading higher is better than lower I guess. I did seem that my last run my temp was running a lot higher than I wanted. I'll break out my temp gage next run and compare.
