    Lipos in Summit

    I am getting my two 2S 8200Mah Lipos from SPC this week, and I was wondering if there is any threads or information I should know. DO I have to make any mods so they will fit in my Summit?

    No mods but make sure your LVD is on for using lipo

    You do not have to, however if you remove some of the fins on the rear battery vents you can run the wires through them. Easier to connect and install that routing out the sides...

    I prefer them through the vents.keeps the wires and balance tab inboard for more protection.

    I'm going to order a set also, so I'd like to know what run time you get too. I'm only $20 short from getting mine!

    It depends what you consider a mod. Some consider unsnapping the leaf spring from the inside top of the battery compartments and adjusting the L-shaped battery brackets to be "mods." You'll have to do both. Keep the packs as far forward as possible. You'll be carrying close to two pounds in batteries - it makes a difference in crawling and climbing. I also like running the wires thru the de-finned vents. It's just simpler. Remember to have your LVD enabled. That's about it.
