But.... My only negitive response would be the PL tranny... I bought one of the first one's last June and lost the idler gear right away as many others have, and I replaced the gear with a metal one...put more slip in the clutch and have not had any issues since (knock on wood).

Now lets see some video of that sweet ride of yours..... One again great job

PS: You need some carbon fiber rings for your bead locks.
Thank's for the kind word's .. I did run it over the weekend all I have to say is Wow . It handles great ,fast and very quiet.. I still have some adjustments to make. Better tires I ordered the Pro-Line Erevo Slipstream body x2 plus the Protoform GT8 bodyx2

My Review on this Build...Wow this car is sweet. I could not get any traction with SC tires(running 3s lipo). So I thought why not put some Pro-Line 2.8 Trenchers. and boy did that hook it up !!!! Tell you what this truck can take a beating Flipped it Cart Wheeled it (bout 15 times )and nothing broke had some parts flew off like my fan on the motor. Tire for wheelie bar and thats it..... So it think it will be my New Basher...

Man it looks good bro. I'm glad you finally took the SQ off the shelf and put her to the test. I definitely dig where you put those stickers under the chassis. Good place for them if you know what i mean.

BTW nice job hanging with those crawlers at the show.

honestly, i have been running mine for the past 6 months, i did have problems, but it was all user error. i snapped a trans case on it because i left out a screw on the motor plate, and hit rear first pretty hard. that, and on the top shaft, one of the shims are just a hair too big, so i grinded it down a tiny bit. no binding. i also have the metal idler gear, just for good measure. but besides that, this trans has been golden. the differential is fantastic, has not leaked one drop and there is absolutely no problems. even the spur gears are amazingly tough, ive burnt out many stockers doing the things this one does. the slipper also works great too. very consistent. but best of all, the heat is never a problem anymore, it doesnt matter what i do it never tops 140 during a 7 minute race on a 10.5 tekin redline. ill admit the way it mounts the stock traxxas bumper is a horrible way to go and the proline rear bumper is almost a must have, (i managed to find a secure way to mount a rpm bumper mount onto it, no problems) i wouldnt want anything else.

lol, now i realize that there are 3 pages and people arent talking about the trans anymore ..

So when I get the money and decide to bite the bullet, I am going to rebuild my Slash 2wd. I am saving up for a car to so I am only going to use little bits at a time. Anyways, I would like to know why the Pro-Line Transmission said it can't be run with brushless systems? And why modifications did you make to the Pro-Line Transmission to run brushless?

Are you saying that Proline said their tranny can't be used with a brushless system? I have not heard that anywhere.

The idler gear needs to be changed to metal and don't tighten the slipper clutch too much.

Mine has held up fine since doing the above....

I am doing a Pro-2 build right now and I have ran into a snag...

Converting over from a stock chassis do I have to provide steering posts for the bellcranks to go on to? The posts that are on the stock chassis are part of the stock front skid plate and cannot be removed. This kit is supposed to be a direct conversion contraining everything that is needed in the kit, it seems like they have left something out.

In short, am I missing something, or to I need to get steering posts for this thing?

    Thanks.
