Cooling fan

I am wondering if i should get a cooling fan for my motor and/or esc..

A few questions:

1) are they easy to install?

2) Will it decrease my run time?

3) Does it help enough that i should even get one?

1) Relatively easy.
2) Yes, but not by much.
3) The only way to reduce heat is to use proper gearing. Fans are great for further cooling a system that is not overheating. They will not stop overheating issues.

BTW: Motor fans usually break after the first flip.

so basically i should not buy one at all... I havent had overheating issues so i dont see a point..

I havent broke the fan on my motor yet, its revo, dunno how the summit body is. I just make sure the fan is tilted away from esc, more room between it and stock revo body. But as jimmie said it wont solve overheating issues, but it does help keep the motor cooler
