thanks
the essentials are:
shims for your diff
RPM a arms front and rear
upgrade servo, the stock one usually doesn't last
traxxas aluminum pushrods and toelinks
better shocks, I use traxxas GTR hard anodized, 80w shock oil, now I have tan and black springs but I don't like it. I'm waiting to my blue and purple springs to arrive
I forget, GH knuckles (axle carriers)
An a good lipo charger. Don't know what is your actual setup, but I own an iCharger 106b+ with 220v power supply and a parallel board so I can charge all my batteries (4) at once!
aluminum axle carriers and steel hallow balls. both more than worth it.

thanks what would be the difference beetween piggyback and regular shocks?
If the piggybacks don't leak the oil stays at a more constant temp. That makes it stay at a more constant weight. These minis don't heat it up enough to make the extra leaks worth it though

ok thankssssss
I would go for Hr shock bodies with traxxas tin coated shafts and a shock rebuild kit maybe even their aluminum top and bottom caps
A good selection of pinions and spur gears. Extra slipper clutch for a spare
what kind of springs?
blue summit up front and purple summit in the back
okkaayy thanksss![]()
making a big lif of upgrade that i NEED to have
any suggestions??
how much do you want to spend!
doesnt matter im just making a list, i just wanna know what i should have to get
The question is, are you racing it or just bashing around? I race mine so my upgrade list is very short. First, I have no aluminum on my MERV. Point of breakage and can get expensive. I do run the J-Concepts Goose Bumps w/ Rulex wheels. Hitech hs85mg servo, and center diff. Gotta have the RPM A-arms first.
2 MERV's
2 1/18 Mini Desert Truck & Buggy
i like to just bash around
Along with what's up above I would go hitec 5085 servo
Maybe some associated 21141 shims for the diffs
this iis my list of must haves so far:
LT rocker arms
aluminum a-arms
aluminum pushrods and toelinks
some better shocks
wheelie bar
T-bone Skidplate
HR shock bodies
traxxas tin coated shafts
traxxas shock rebuild kit
integy shock spring set
aluminum shock caps
aluminum spring retainers
diff shims
aluminum bulkheads
hs 85mg servo (maybe)
aluminum knuckles
dont know about the servo as i would still like to keep it waterproof
any suggestions??
hitec is easy to waterproof
i would buy traxxas aluminum toe links and pushrods!
on ebay best wheelie bar http://www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-1-16...item3ef8935c8f
maybe some 80wt shock oil
HR aluminum diff case
how can you waterproof it and thanks everyone![]()
bunch of ways search the web .some just open it up and put a layer of silicone and either an o ring or marine grease around the shaft and silicone where the wires exit
In the UK the Hi-Tec 5086W is waterproofed already and is pretty cheap - no brainer. It's working great in my MERV.
http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...tec-5086-servo
Stampede 4x4 / MERV / Losi Brushless Micro Truggy
I would go for RPM arms instead of alu ones...Alu will bend
+1 on that. If you go over a big jump it cant flex like the RPMS.
okay thanks everyone![]()
Bend and stays bent!
