    dirt hawg tires

Are the dirt hawg tires with the proline bead lock rims a good combo to run ? I see that some of the posts warn about the added weight of the rims. However some say they add more stablity to the rig. Are the tires a good off road, grass, dirt as well?

    Thanks

The wheels are fine for low speed - tires suk on grass and are a decent compromise for other dirt surfaces. For grass its hard to beat canyon AT
I have D Hawgs on bead lock and regular wheels don't use beadlocks much

Photon trap, are you talking the tires used on the summit 1/16 ? Did you just run real low gearing to accomadate that increase in tire size?

    thanks!

Hawgs are good and if you tape them they won't balloon bad. Personally I'd stay away from the beadlocks, go with a regular but wider rim that will add stability from width and not weight which is safer.

I run them on hpi 2160 rims. They have a lot of offset helps with roll overs
They are my favorite all around tire. I can bash in the mountains and then do a few speed runs without changing tires

I agree that the dirt hawgs are a good all-rounder, but as with any 'all-rounder' they won't be amazing at each individual surface, for me the weakest surface for them is definitely grass.

Got mine on rulux wheels and they are good for offroad, but turning onroad it ends up flipping allot, no fun. Wider offset needed I would say.
