Keep posting -- looks like a ton of fun!! I live in snow country too and have had a blast this season...
Make it idiot-proof and along comes a better idiot
This looks like a lot of fun, any particular prep work that has to be done to the car for all the extra moisture? I don't live anywhere near the snow, but looks like it would be a blast.

Well, er, I've been somewhat negligent with my maintenance program. But I'm going to start blasting things with WD-40 and compressed air and following up with this stuff:

Make it idiot-proof and along comes a better idiot
It's a lot of fun, IF the sun is shining
A few things I've done...
# A sock on the engine to get a good temp on cold days
# Air filter protection from a bicycle tube, keeps most of the snow, mud, sand whatever away
# Currently testing a pair of mudflaps-wheelhouse-thingys made from a 2l coke bottle, seems to keep half of the snow away from the chassie
# WD40 on exposed screws and moving parts
and after I'm done I pop the lid of the radiobox to the let the moisture air out.
First times in the snow I ran it 100% stock, no mods. Worked fine.

Another one from last winter. Going back and forth until it went in between the ice and shore... Replaced the air filter and it was good to go!

It looks fun and it is. I enjoy mine under snowy conditions but little wheels made car low so I run on Revo wheels on snow. Also made a filter box myself and it works great too. Under very hard conditions i use snowchains. Here are some photos.

Those Revo wheels looks good for snow weather, I wait until they've plowed the roads to prevent me from getting stuck. I prefer packed snow, less mess in the car and more speed![]()
