Stampede with Slash chassis, not what I expected

Well, I thought this would work for now but it just looks silly...suppose I'll need a stampede chassis after all.

Not sure if I mind the length, but the width of the chassis (the way it sticks out) is just not going to work for me. I had to make a rear mount bracket to bring the mounts forward an inch and I flipped them forward. Sure takes care of the wheelies though...unless I lock the slipper down with 2s, that castle just flings it forward with immense power!

So you are complaining that a stampede body doesn't fit a short course chassis? How about buying a body that fits that chassis....

That's actually not bad looking at all. You can just get a wider body, just like Slaughter33 had said.

Thanks Slaughter33 - your comment has got to be the most useless comment I have received on this forum this year! I highly appreciate it.

With that said, I have been looking for a body, this was just convenient. I thought I would post pictures because I hear alot of people talkin about it - I wanted them to actually have something to look at! The local hobby shop is really horrible at carrying anything that is worth using on any type of conversion project....PERIOD!! Their body selection is terrible!

My Rally chassis will be here soon, since its narrower, perhaps it will look better and I'll leave it at that

I'm not sure how suggesting you get a body that fits the chassis is useless.

Yeah man of course it silly with a stampede body since the slash chassis is easily 1 inch + wider than the stampede.

I love the conversion because there is A LOT more space in the truck

Just find the right body for your style and it will look great!!

+1. He was telling you how to make it work. You can also get a slash body. You do realize that the only difference from a stampede and slash is the chassis, body, tires, and bumpers so if you change the chassis you essentially have slash with stampede wheels and tires

You do know you can purchase a Slash or E-Maxx body online, right? Your truck will look perfect then. Not sure why you'd go through the trouble of tearing this back apart & using a rally chassis??
